OnSight Core is the foundation of our platform, responsible for automated data collection and processing. It's the engine that powers our entire system.

  • Automated Data Ingestion: Core automatically collects movement and location data from various hardware sources, primarily using advanced Bluetooth technology.
  • Near Real-Time Processing: It ingests and enriches data in near real-time, ensuring the information you see is current and reliable.
  • Secure Data Storage: All information is securely stored, creating a robust, historical log for analysis, reporting, and contact tracing purposes.

OnSight Command: Your Window to Actionable Insight

OnSight Command is the user-facing application where data becomes intelligence. Accessible via mobile, tablet, or desktop, Command provides the visual tools you need to manage your site effectively.

  • Powerful Reporting: Delivers real-time and historical reports, allowing managers to gain actionable insight into the movement of people and assets.
  • Visual Dashboards: An intuitive interface displays the location of all tracked personnel and equipment on a site map, showing who is on-site, off-site, or in a specific zone.
  • Custom Alerts & Notifications: Enables push notifications for critical updates, such as ad-hoc Health & Safety alerts or location-based messaging. A key example is our proactive alerting for Downer, which notified staff of physical distancing breaches.

Flexible Hardware for Any Environment

We utilise a range of robust hardware technologies to ensure reliable data capture, tailored to the specific needs of your worksite.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

BLE is our primary technology for its versatility and reliability, even in challenging industrial environments.

How it Works: We deploy “OnSight Core Bluetooth Gateway's” across a site. These gateways communicate with beacons attached to assets or with smart devices carried by personnel to automatically track location and movement.

  • Automated Tracking: Eliminates the need for manual check-ins or scans, as demonstrated in our NZ Steel project where coils were tracked automatically without worker input.
  • Long-Range Coverage: Our gateways tracked beacons up to a 90-metre radius within a steel facility, proving its effectiveness in signal-heavy environments.
  • People and Asset Tracking: Versatile enough for tracking employee proximity for safety compliance and high-value assets like the steel coils at NZ Steel.

Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID)

How it Works: RFID uses tags and readers to identify and track assets. It is highly effective for monitoring items as they pass through specific choke points, such as doorways, gates, or points on a production line.

  • Best Use Cases: Ideal for inventory management, tool tracking, and access control where high-speed, short-range scanning is required. The NZ Steel project identified RFID as a potential technology, showcasing our understanding of different tracking solutions.
  • Active Signal Exchange: Readers energise passive tags, capture return signals in milliseconds, and pass live movement events into OnSight Core for audit-ready traceability.

Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Integration

How it Works: Your handheld radios broadcast to installed towers, which securely backhaul voice and telemetry data to OnSight Core for unified visibility.

  • Continuous Voice & Data: Tower hand-offs capture push-to-talk activity and GNSS pings simultaneously, ensuring Command knows who is transmitting and where they are.
  • Leverages Existing Networks: We integrate with your licensed spectrum and infrastructure, reducing rollout friction while feeding everything into a single operational picture.

Cloud & Platform Integrations

How it Works: We connect directly to cloud-enabled devices and SaaS platforms, ingesting telemetry, events, and health data through secure APIs or MQTT feeds.

  • Flexible Ingestion: IoT sensors, machine controllers, fleet management systems, and wearables stream into OnSight Core in near real time.
  • Bridge Services Available: Where no modern interface exists, we build lightweight bridges and data shims so legacy hardware can participate without a forklift upgrade.
