Passive Asset Tracking - OnSight Solutions

Automated asset intelligence

Passive Asset Tracking

Stay in control of high-value equipment with continuous location awareness across warehouses, depots, and field teams—all without manual check-ins.

  • Hands-off oversightBLE beacons and RFID readers capture movement automatically.
  • Gateway flexibilityBlend fixed, mobile, and staff-carried scanners for complete coverage.
  • Actionable alertsNotify teams when assets leave zones or miss scheduled checkpoints.

Overview

OnSight's passive asset tracking solution uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) beacons and RFID technology to automatically detect and record asset locations. Assets equipped with BLE beacons are tracked using Bluetooth gateways strategically positioned throughout your facility, as well as mobile gateways deployed on vehicles or carried by personnel. Our custom mobile app provides flexibility for field tracking, allowing your team to detect and log asset locations wherever they work. This combination minimizes manual intervention, with automatic detection handling most tracking while manual logging remains available when needed for specific situations.

Perfect for High-Value, Portable Assets

This solution excels at tracking valuable items where installing a SIM card and GPS tracker isn't cost-effective or practical. Ideal for tools, portable equipment, and even personnel tracking—providing enterprise-grade visibility at a fraction of the cost of traditional GPS solutions. BLE beacons are small, battery-efficient, and perfect for items that move frequently within your operational zones.
